Abstract. Prostate cancer (PCa) and breast cancer (BrCa) are known for their frequent occurrence. However, standard prognostic factors are not sufficient for the unambiguous grading and reliable clinical prognosis, which drastically complicates the choice of clinical interventions and contributes to morbidity. To address needs of cancer management, we propose a development of Raman spectroscopic platform for quantitative analysis of common for these tumors biomarkers. Specifically, we propose to develop and apply two Raman techniques integrated in the same optical platform: (i) Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering (CARS) imaging, and (ii) Point measurement Raman spectroscopy coupled to Biomolecular Component Analysis algorithm. The synergic applications of CARS imaging and Raman microspectroscopy, discussed in this presentation, can lead to the development of bioassay for quantitative detection of biomarkers in PCa and BrCa lesions.
